Bio

Stephanie Washburn was born in the Berkshires, MASS and lives and works in Ojai, CA. She received a BA from Wesleyan University, CT and her MFA from University of California, Santa Barbara, CA. Her work has been exhibited internationally including at Beaconsfield, London, UK; Claremont University, Claremont, CA; ACME Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT; Greene Exhibitions, Los Angeles, CA; Fellows of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, CA and Mark Moore Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. It is in the permanent collections of The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, The Agnes Gund Foundation, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, The Frederick R. Weisman Foundation, University of California Santa Barbara and University of California Riverside. Reviews include The Los Angeles Times, New American Paintings, Art Fag City and Vice. Her photographs have been published in Heliotrope, Harper's Magazine, and The LA Review of Books.
